Salvador came to Career TEAM seeking support to overcome barriers, including a lack of a high school diploma and limited work experience. Determined to better himself, he worked with Career TEAM to pursue credentials and meaningful employment. Inspired by his neighbor, who owns a small trucking company, Salvador decided to pursue his Class A CDL license. He gained hands-on experience by accompanying his neighbor on cross-country hauls, discovering a passion for trucking along the way. Before starting his formal training, Salvador developed critical soft skills through Career EDGE. With guidance from his Career TEAM Career Advisor, Salvador secured training at Advanced Career Institute and received financial support, including rental reimbursement through the ESP grant. Additionally, he received assistance with resume preparation and work attire to ensure he was ready for his new career. Just two days after earning his Class A CDL, Salvador secured full-time employment, embarking on a stable and fulfilling career in trucking. A prime example of how Career TEAM accelerates the human condition and helps people on the path to self-sufficiency!

After years of inconsistent employment and financial challenges, Azi sought assistance from Career TEAM through the Kentucky Career Center. Through career exploration and interest assessments, Azi discovered a passion for workplace safety and shifted his focus toward OSHA’s Occupational Safety Training. Azi enrolled in OSHA 511: Occupational Safety and Health Standards for General Industry and obtained his CPR certification, aligning perfectly with the hiring needs of a local manufacturing company. After successfully completing his training, Azi secured an interview with and was offered a position as an Environmental Health and Safety Technician. To support a successful transition into the role, Career TEAM provided Azi with essential safety boots, tools, and work attire through National Dislocated Worker Grant funding. This opportunity has not only led to full-time employment for Azi, but also had a profound impact on his family’s well-being for years to come.

With support from Career TEAM, he enrolled in Saint Martin’s Vets 2 Tech Server and Cloud Application Program to pursue the certification to become a Network and Computer Systems Administrator. During his training, Brandon received career coaching and housing assistance, enabling him to focus entirely on his studies.
