Career Team for Clinical Medical Assistant Program for Glasgow KY Area.
The Clinical Medical Assistant program through WKU offers students an exciting, challenging and rewarding career in healthcare. The program teaches and trains students on how to assist physicians by performing functions rested to the medical office. Students in the program cover many important topics including pharmacology, medical terminology, phlebotomy, vital signs, and ethics of workplace behavior.
During the program students will complete 140 hours of classroom time. Students will have both hands on, book, and externship opportunities throughout the program. Upon completion of the class students will be eligible to sit for the Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) National Exam, and National Healthcareer Association (NHA)
