Every year Career TEAM Leaders gather together to learn, share best practices and celebrate. This year, Career TEAM took over Miami Florida, the home of one of their newest projects! Each leader presented on themselves and their project. Sharing with other leaders from around the country how their programs work, what challenges they face and what new ideas they are utilizing to help their customers, partners, and staff. This Leadership Summit also included team building exercises and games and also a lot of fun in beautiful Miami.
Where will CTL go next year and who will be added to the TEAM?

Career TEAM, a national workforce development leader, announced that it has been selected by CareerSource South Florida to become the Workforce Center Operator for the Miami Beach and Carol City locations.  Career Team’s initial team in the Sunshine State will run through June 2020 with optional renewals based on performance.

The new Miami based Career TEAM staff will focus on recruiting, training and placing residents in our service area.. Career TEAM. CareerSource Tampa Bay has partnered with Career TEAM for the second year in a row to create their online portal for their summer youth program. This program officially launched on January 8th with their online application developed on the Career EDGE platform. This online application collects all of the important information necessary to be accepted into the program and it also collects all of the supporting eligibility documentation. Applications are available to youth and employers and are then monitored and managed in the administrative backend by CareerSource staff.

Kilgore, Texas, June 2019: 

Career TEAM, a national workforce development leader, announced today that it has been selected by the Workforce Solutions East Texas Board to become the Workforce Center Operator in the 14-county region of East Texas. The initial two year award is for $13M with three additional option years for a total of $32M.

According to Career TEAM, CEO, Christopher J. Kuselias, “this most recent expansion into Texas further supports our organizational objective to integrate our nationally recognized Career EDGE self-sufficiency model with state and federal workforce development funding sources nationwide”.

The new Texas based Career TEAM staff will focus on coaching adult and youth customers with an emphasis on long-term economic self-sufficiency. Career TEAM Chief Performance Officer, Anthony Terlizzi, commented, “our combined knowledge, expertise and application of technology will result in a holistic approach to workforce outcomes, previously unseen in Texas.”

As a result, per Chief Operations Office, Danielle Simone, “we are in the process of developing a local network of resources to deliver our integrated (affiliate model) system of training and placement services. Career TEAM will work closely with local based entities to provide the Workforce Solutions East Texas Board with optimal usage of state and federal funding”.

Career Team held an on-campus employer hiring event at Western Kentucky University on April 10, 2019.  The Part-Time and Summer Job Fair targeted current students seeking summer employment and internships with 24 employers from the Southcentral KY region.  The employers were excited to be able to reach out to the 38 students in attendance.  Logan Hatfield, the staff recruitment and outreach manager for the Center for Courageous Kids commented, “My experience with Career TEAM was wonderful. The team was welcoming and helpful throughout the entire event.  I felt I was valued as a member of my company and that this team cared about the success of obtaining staff for my company.”

Career TEAM was easy to work with throughout the entire process of the job fair. Career TEAM was very professional in all interactions with our staff.


Dana Fenwick of Career Team Delaware and Michael Mulrooney, Supervisor, Delaware Skills Center met to address the need for skilled workers entering the workforce. Career Team Delaware provides Employment and Training for SNAP and TANF recipients in the State of Delaware. Many of these individuals are interested in short term training that leads to long term self-sufficiency.  The partnership between Career Team Delaware and Delaware Skills Center will provide individuals with an opportunity to enter the workforce with the skills that today’s employers are looking for. After a tour of the Delaware Skills Center it was evident that this is a partnership that will have a lasting impact on both the community we serve as well as Delaware’s workforce.  While we have had participants attend the Delaware Skills Center in the past but we know that this concerted effort will allow more students to have access to training.


Special Projects Lead, Jeff Davis, kicked of his first resume building class using Career EDGE at the new WorkSource Center in Tacoma WA.  After the centers Multi-Care hiring event with over 400 job seekers, Jeff realized that it was a needed addition to add to available services being offered. Starting next month in March, Jeff will be facilitating a Career EDGE Boot Camp course twice a week for newly WIOA enrolled customers.  This boot camp will assist customers in building their foundation in their job search while helping them to determine their approach moving forward.  Career TEAM Pierce, plans to launch these Career EDGE Boot Camps in targeted areas in the community as well to help reach customer lacking a GED or High School Diploma.


Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, KY and partners with

Career Team for Clinical Medical Assistant Program for Glasgow KY Area.

The Clinical Medical Assistant program through WKU offers students an exciting, challenging and rewarding career in healthcare. The program teaches and trains students on how to assist physicians by performing functions rested to the medical office. Students in the program cover many important topics including pharmacology, medical terminology, phlebotomy, vital signs, and ethics of workplace behavior.

During the program students will complete 140 hours of classroom time. Students will have both hands on, book, and externship opportunities throughout the program. Upon completion of the class students will be eligible to sit for the Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) National Exam, and National Healthcareer Association (NHA)

Career TEAM Announces New Award by Workforce Central in Tacoma, Washington!

Tacoma, Washington – Career TEAM, a nationally acclaimed workforce development company, announced today that after a competitive procurement, it has been awarded a contract by Workforce Central in Tacoma, Washington. Career TEAM will manage and lead their Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) integrated services for Adults and will initiate services beginning January 1, 2019.

Supporting the Herzing University Career Center


Career TEAM, LLC (CTL) today announced that Herzing University will utilize Career TEAM’s Career Edge platform to enhance its ability to deliver career readiness training and resources to students and alumni. The agreement involves student success and career preparation related initiatives including: enhancing a workforce readiness integrated curriculum; providing tools to help students develop the necessary employment search documents (cover letter, resume and mock application) and alumni and employer portals to connect job seekers with potential employers.

Herzing University is creating a centralized Career Center that offers career readiness and content modules that will supplement job skills training through core coursework. Students will complete their programs with tangible tools and job searching assets developed in the Career EDGE Toolkit to support their career search process including a personalized ePortfolio and resume.

Once developed and refined, student resumes and ePortfolios will be posted where potential employers can search for qualified graduates and alumni by skillsets, accomplishments and geography. Additionally, through the University’s career development staff, students will have access to other resources including coaching for interviews, resume development, and help with building a professional network.

“This relationship will leverage Career TEAM’s twenty years of workforce development expertise to customize an innovative and efficient career readiness delivery model unique to Herzing University – a product truly personalized to students and their desire to secure and maintain meaningful employment” said Micaela Alpers, President of Career TEAM’s Education Division. The platform will also track student activities within the career readiness modules and measure student engagement from the outcomes required in the modules – preparing students for their careers.
