CAREER TEAM & HERZING UNIVERSITY ANNOUNCE PARTNERSHIP
Supporting the Herzing University Career Center

 

Career TEAM, LLC (CTL) today announced that Herzing University will utilize Career TEAM’s Career Edge platform to enhance its ability to deliver career readiness training and resources to students and alumni. The agreement involves student success and career preparation related initiatives including: enhancing a workforce readiness integrated curriculum; providing tools to help students develop the necessary employment search documents (cover letter, resume and mock application) and alumni and employer portals to connect job seekers with potential employers.

Herzing University is creating a centralized Career Center that offers career readiness and content modules that will supplement job skills training through core coursework. Students will complete their programs with tangible tools and job searching assets developed in the Career EDGE Toolkit to support their career search process including a personalized ePortfolio and resume.

Once developed and refined, student resumes and ePortfolios will be posted where potential employers can search for qualified graduates and alumni by skillsets, accomplishments and geography. Additionally, through the University’s career development staff, students will have access to other resources including coaching for interviews, resume development, and help with building a professional network.

“This relationship will leverage Career TEAM’s twenty years of workforce development expertise to customize an innovative and efficient career readiness delivery model unique to Herzing University – a product truly personalized to students and their desire to secure and maintain meaningful employment” said Micaela Alpers, President of Career TEAM’s Education Division. The platform will also track student activities within the career readiness modules and measure student engagement from the outcomes required in the modules – preparing students for their careers.

Career TEAM announced that Dana Fenwick has been named National Director of Case Management services for the company’s direct services division. In this role, Ms. Fenwick will author the company vision for assisting children and families attain self-sufficiency while also providing universal training and coaching to all current and future Career TEAM projects.

Per Career TEAM, CEO, Chris Kuselias, “Ms. Fenwick is an established industry leader in all aspects of case management and embodies the blending of high touch and hi tech services needed in todays’ workforce environment. Our industry is blessed to have a person with her empathy, integrity and knowledge of the human condition.”

Ms. Fenwick has over 20 years of case management expertise and has delivered numerous workshops and spoken at various workforce conferences and events. She has a background in communications, human service, and coaching and maintains a current working knowledge of the client centered service model, motivational interviewing, trauma-informed care; and does so with compassion, intelligence, great communication skills, and cultural sensitivity.

Over the past decade, Ms. Fenwick has led and managed Career TEAM’s projects in Delaware which include TANF, SNAP, WONDER, (a Federal grant administered by Delaware Division of Social Services. Holding the title of Executive Director based in Wilmington, Delaware, Dana maximized TANF, WIOA, and Dislocated Worker contract outcomes while building strong business and community relationships and moving VIP’s toward self-sufficiency.

Before joining Career T.E.A.M. Dana worked for Coca-Cola Enterprises in Sales and Marketing, and Managed Education Contracts and MAXIMUS in Case Management and Workshop Facilitation. Dana is an active member of the New Castle County Chamber of Commerce and the National Association of Workforce Development Professionals.
